First Grade

My name is Mrs. Butler. I have been part of the Legacy Point Elementary family since 2020, supporting students and teachers across all grade levels, with a special focus on first, second, and third grades. After returning to the classroom, I discovered my passion for teaching firsthand, and this year marks my third year as a first grade teacher. My time at LPE has been incredibly rewarding, and I am excited to continue this journey alongside your child and family. I cannot wait for a year filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences.

Hello!  My name is Jocelyn Eyl (pronounced isle). 

When I am not teaching I relish family time and love to relax in the great outdoors. Camping, fishing, paddle boarding and exploring are high on my family's list of favorites.

My name is Ellie Hunt. I’m so excited to start another wonderful year at Legacy Point and to welcome a brand new group of first graders! Teaching first grade truly fills my heart—I love the energy, curiosity, and incredible growth that happens in these early learning years. I began my teaching journey 3 years ago in Douglas County and feel grateful to be part of the same district where I grew up and graduated from Chaparral High School. I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Colorado Christian University with a specialization in culturally and linguistically diverse studies, and I’m currently working on my master’s in education with a focus on multilingual learning. I’m passionate about creating a warm, supportive, and engaging classroom for all learners.
When I’m not in the classroom, I love spending time with my family and friends—whether we’re playing board games, watching movies, traveling, or just enjoying each other’s company. I also love exploring Colorado in the summertime and spending time with my sweet Maltese/Shih Tzu mix Otto.
