Fourth Grade
Teachers
Shanna Conn
I am Mrs. Conn. I have been a member of the Legacy Point community since 2008. Prior to teaching at Legacy Point, I taught in Colorado, Washington, and California. This is the third decade of my teaching journey. Over the course of my career, I have taught pre-school, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades, and college courses at Regis University. I also enjoy hosting high-school and college students who are working on earning a teaching degree in our room. I am excited to teach fourth grade again this year. I find fourth grade to be a magical learning year. The students’ enthusiasm is refreshing and I am so excited to work with creative, capable, and amazing thinkers.
My family and I have lived in Parker since 2000. Mr. Conn works for Southwest Airlines. My daughter, Kendall, is in Oregon. My son, Ian, graduated from Ponderosa in 2021; he is also out on his own. We also have our sweet little rescue chihuahua, Luna.
Kaitlyn DeCristino
My name is Kaitlyn DeCristino. This will be my ninth year teaching and my third year at Legacy Point. I’m thrilled to be part of the Legacy Point family again and look forward to a fantastic year ahead!
I relocated from Bakersfield, California to Castle Rock, Colorado with my family in 2005, where I spent my formative years and graduated from Douglas County High School in 2012. Following this, I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2017 and later completed my Master's degree at the University of Colorado, Denver in 2018. Currently, I live in Elizabeth with my husband, KJ, our sons, Kaisen (5.5) and Karson (3), and our dog, Russell. Outside of teaching, I enjoy being outdoors, DIY projects, spending time with loved ones, and supporting both the Colorado Buffaloes and the Seattle Seahawks.
Emily Ferguson
My name is Emily Fergusonr! I can't wait to share my love of learning and teaching with my students.
This will be my fourth year teaching Fourth Grade at Legacy Point! As a Colorado native who grew up right here in Douglas County, I feel incredibly lucky to teach in the community that I call home.
I graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Apparel Design and Merchandising. While that may seem a little different from a traditional teaching degree, it has inspired me to bring creativity, hands-on learning, and fresh ideas into the classroom every day. To follow my passion for education, I also completed my continuing education in Elementary Education.
Outside of school, I enjoy golfing, traveling, crafting, running my small business, and spending time with my family, friends, and my dog. I'm also a huge Colorado sports fan, and you'll often find me cheering on the Broncos and the Avalanche!
