Second Grade

I’m Ms. Machado, and I couldn’t be more excited to start this second grade journey with you and your child.

A little about me—I graduated from Colorado State University (go Rams!). Outside of the classroom, life keeps me busy in the best ways! You’ll often find me with my sweet dog, Aspen—she’s a spunky Mini Australian Shepherd who brings a lot of energy and joy to my days. I also coach and compete in CrossFit, which challenges me to stay strong, focused, and always strive to be my best self. In addition to teaching, I run a photography business that truly fills my creative bucket. I love capturing special moments for people—from weddings and engagements to portraits, graduations, and everything in between. There’s something so rewarding about telling stories through photos and helping people preserve their most meaningful memories.

Last year, I had the opportunity to work at Legacy Point in the Voyager program, and it quickly became clear to me that this school is something special. I have a huge passion for working with kids and creating a classroom where they feel supported, challenged, and excited to learn. I truly feel like I’ve found my forever family here at Legacy Point, and I’m so excited to continue growing within this wonderful community.

I’m really looking forward to building strong connections with both you and your child this year. I believe in open communication, lots of encouragement, and creating a classroom where every student feels seen, supported, and excited to learn each and everyday!
