Hannah Ausmus
My name is Hannah Ausmus!
This will be my fifth year at Legacy Point and teaching Third Grade! I am a Colorado native and grew up in Douglas County, so I am beyond excited to continue to be a part of the LPE family in this special town I called home for so many years. I attended The University of Colorado (Sko Buffs!) and loved every minute of it. I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Minor in Leadership Studies through our School of Education. In addition, I have completed a continuing education program through CU Denver specifically in Elementary Education.
When I am not planning to meet this next wonderful Third Grade class, I love to travel, read as many books as my Kindle will hold, go golfing with my husband, explore with my Bernadoodle, Sherman, and spend quality time with my family and friends!
Rebecca Ruth
My name is Rebecca Ruth!
This is my third year at Legacy Point and my fourth year teaching! While I am a Colorado native, I graduated from the University of Wyoming with my bachelor’s in Elementary Education. Go Pokes! I also did an internship abroad teaching English in Belgium which gave me a concentration in International Education.
Because of that experience, traveling is one of my favorite hobbies. Some of my other hobbies are reading, hiking with my husband, and spending time with my loved ones.
Colleen Roy
This will be my first year at Legacy Point, but my fifth year teaching Third Grade! I spent the first four years of my teaching career in Monument, Colorado and could not be more excited to continue my journey by joining the LPE family. I am originally from the Northeast United States, spending most of my life in Maryland and Pennsylvania, but moved to Colorado in the summer of 2022. I attended Seton Hill University, just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was able to play collegiate field hockey and lacrosse at the division II level while getting my degrees. I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary and Special Education as well as my Masters degree in Innovative Instruction.
When I am not planning to meet this next fantastic Third Grade class, I love to run, travel anywhere I can, coach field hockey and lacrosse, read lots of books, spend time outside hiking, bake yummy desserts, and spend quality time with my family and friends!
